On the page for this show on the CJSW site (tinyurl.com/3axhnfmj - you can listen to a recording of the program here), I said that it was “groovy with freaky”, which I think describes this well. A couple of the tracks played came from albums that I hadn’t played before (I have played the artists in the past), “Maulana” by Kuumba-Toudie (Tootie) Heath from Kawaida and “Sorcery” by Charles Lloyd from Forest flower (an album that was seriously popular when it came out, selling a million copies). Both were fine stuff.
