With the passing of both Chick Corea and Milford Graves in the days leading up to these shows, I figured it was most appropriate to pay homage to these great. There was one longer track for Graves ("Response", which I think strongly represents his style) and two shorter ones for Corea ("Vedana" and "The hilltop", not that two tracks could fully represent someone who put out so many records in so many styles). The rest of the music in this show was made of a few new releases and a couple of trips back into the early years of the 21st century, both items that we on my "return to sometime" list (these were tunes by Nicole Mitchell and Hilario Duran).
