I guess you could call the music this week a little more on the straight-ahead/accessible side than is often the case with Breaking The Tethers. That being said, there's a few items that came from the outside edge of jazz, such as the first track played, "Ritual purity and love, part II" by Wadada Leo Smith's Organic (when has Wadada Leo Smith done anything conventional?) and "A decisive little habit" by Iconoclast (a long piece in comparison to their usual short jazz blasts). Anyway, it was a good show, regardless of the labels we put on it. The recording is here.
