Sometimes, I use the word “nifty” too much as a descriptor, especially in the context of the music that I play on Breaking The Tethers. But it’s often the best choice and the tunes on this show are definitely “nifty”. I would say that the top two “niftiest” songs this week were the skronky “Horny toads” by the Muffins, from the expanse set
Baker’s dozen, and the classic “Nine types of industrial pollution” by the Mothers of Invention from
Meat light (it first appears on
Uncle meat). Listen to this nifty edition of BTT
here.
Breaking The Tethers returns, with me, on Monday, July 22, usual time (10 to 11 am MT), usual place (
cjsw.com or 90.9 FM).
I should also note that I’ll be guest hosting the long-running CJSW show Alternative To What on Thursday, July 18, and on Thursday, July 25. Both shows run from 4 to 6 pm MT. And, of course, they’re on
cjsw.com or 90.9 FM.
Thanks.
Andrew
