The main feature in this week's Breaking The Tethers show was the live performance by Sound of the Mountain with Japanese improvised music legends Tetuzi Akiyami and Toshimaru Nakamura. Sound of the Mountain were on BTT in 2017 (they were on another CJSW show, Unprocessed, in 2018) and it was great to have them back again (and on Thanksgiving day!) with their special guests. Be sure to check out the recording of their creation.
The 2019 CJSW funding drive begins this Friday, October 18. I'll have a more fulsome posting on Breaking The Tethers and the Drive in the next day or two but I'd like to point out that the next edition of the program will be the Funding Drive edition of BTT for this year.
