I often describe Breaking The Tethers (BTT) as being “all over the map”. This show definitely fit that bill. There was straight-ahead jazz (“March of the covidians” by PJ Perry), UK 60s folk-jazz (“White fishes” by John Renbourn), steel pan jazz (“Fly intro” by Joy Lapps), Carnatic sax (“Soft” by Rudresh Mahanthappa and Bunky Green), and much more. Plenty of Canadian content as well, as well; six of the 11 songs this week are Canadian. 

We start 2022 month no. 11 with a BTT episode on Monday, November 7, usual time, 10 to 11 am MT, usual place, cjsw.com or 90.9 FM. Everyone is invited!
