A fine mix of new (mostly) and old tracks on this program, leaning out there but definitely not fully in that territory (e.g. I played the Mercer Hassy Orchestra’s version of Duke Ellington’s “Hot and bothered”, which was originally recorded in 1928). My favourite two songs this week were the Carl Zinsius Project’s cover of Carla Bley’s “Five banana” and “Unknown rivers” by Luke Stewart. Which were yours? Not sure yet?
