Looking back, I think this was a really great show. 11 tracks were playing with many high points. There was afrobeat to start things off ("Eli aluta" from Seun Kai & Egypt 80 with Sampa The Great, from
Heavier yet (lays the crownless head), straight-up free jazz ("For peace and liberty part 4" by Black Artist Group, from
For peace and liberty, in Paris Dec. 1972, spiritual jazz ("Wisdom through music" by Pharaoh Sanders, from the album of the same title), jazzy Radiohead split off music ("Tiptoe" by The Smile, from Cutouts), and much more. It's all well worth listening to and you can do that
here.
Thanks.
