I've said this before, probably on many occasions, but some Breaking The Tethers shows just fall together nicely, especially musically. I'd say this show falls into that category. It just worked well (at least to my ears!). My fave songs from this episode? "First light" by Freddie Hubbard, "Bloom" by Amnesiac Quartet, "Mammoth no arms" by Rare Air, and "Gift" by Mikrokolektyw.

A couple of notes about shows over the next couple of weeks:

*I will be away from BTT for the Monday, February 24 program. Drew Miller will be filling in for me; he'll do a fine job. I'll be back for the first show in March, Monday the 3rd.

*Speaking of filling in, I'll be doing so for Alternative To What on Thursday, February 20, 4 to 6 pm MT, at the usual place (cjsw.com or 90.9 FM)
