Only a five-song show this week but that’s no problem; all the music played was fine stuff. A main element was a mini guitar legend tribute with “Fred” by the New Tony Williams Lifetime featuring the late, great Allan Holdsworth and “Three flights up” by Pat Metheny featuring, well, Pat Metheny (who is not dead). Also, as I type, I realized that there were two songs about “flights” (presumably building stories) , the Metheny tune and “One flight down” by Cory Weeds and Jerry Weldon. This didn’t even cross my mind as I was hosting BTT live. Oh well. Anyway, listen to this “fine stuff” program
here.
As noted earlier, I will be away (on vacation!) for the next four episodes of Breaking The Tethers. Next week’s show, on Monday, July 28, will be hosted by Red. Please join them for a great suite of music from 10 to 11 am at 90.9 FM or
cjsw.com.
Thanks.
Andrew
