July 26, 2021

A solid, solid show methinks. There was a kicking starter ("Sounds of freedom" by Benito Gonzalez),  a short classical piece ("Preludes for piano: no. 12, allegro strepitoso"), a trumpet set (featuring two of my favourite jazz trumpet players, Miles Davis and Lee Morgan), and another groovy track from the continuing Jazz Is Dead series ("Mars walk"), a fair amount of Canadian stuff, and much more. Here's where to take it all in: bit.ly/3zDqjkT.

Hopefully, there's another solid program next week. Tune in with me on Monday, August 2, from 10 to 11 am, at the usual spots, cjsw.com or 90.9 FM 9 (or try both!)

Thanks.

Andrew
