This was the last in this series of Breaking The Tethers programs featuring all-newly-released material.  Fave tracks this week included the noisy "Go get it" by Pat Metheny and "Talking shit" by Miles Davis & Robert Glasper, which featured Miles Davis doing pretty much just that. Lots of groovy electric piano work this week as well e.g. "Time to run" by Bill Laurence and "Talking shit". Next week will be the BTT 10th anniversary program (more on that below) and then I plan to return to shows with a mix of old and new.

For the 10th anniversary show, which will be 10-11 am MT on Monday, July 4, I will be playing a selection of the music I featured on the very first edition of Breaking The Tethers, on Tuesday, July 4, 2006.  I'd love to play all 28 tracks that were on that first program but I only have one hour, not three, as I did in 2006, plus a few of the songs would require some hunting to track down.  If I can get to seven or eight of them, that'll be just fine.
